The bulk of 2014 was made possible by a grant from the Shuttleworth Foundation to Rory Aronson. This grant paid Rory a salary of $73,000 in quarterly installments and allowed him to spend up to an additional $50,000 for project funding. Additional project funding was provided in the form of a co-investment model whereby for every $1 Rory personally invested into the FarmBot Project during the grant period, the project funds would match that investment x10 or more. Rory plans to use the full project funding available which means he will have personally invested at least $5,000 into the project during 2014. The Shuttleworth Foundation also paid for travel for Rory to their bi-annual Gatherings. This was in addition to the salary and the project funding. The bulk of 2014 was made possible by a grant from the Shuttleworth Foundation to Rory Aronson.
